Charity for Change Receives Two Grants

NAPLES (April 20) – Charity for Change announces that it recently received two grants to support its “Giver” Program community service and character education curriculum.

The Fred and Louise Goebel Charitable Foundation Fund of the Community Foundation of Collier County donated $5,000 for website development, curriculum development and program evaluation. The League Club provided $7,100 as scholarship assistance for 400 at-risk elementary school-age children in Charity for Change’s afterschool programs in Collier County schools.

Since launching in Collier County in 2008, Charity for Change has expanded into three counties and 66 afterschool locations with 7,000 students through its affiliation with After School Programs, Inc. The program also is presented to 3,000 students in five Collier County elementary schools.
