Rigorous, flexible, evidence-based content
Online testing & reporting
For more than 17 years, the Charity for Change program has engaged more than 120,000 students by building resiliency, strong life-skill competencies and improving academic performance.
This program serves elementary-school-aged students in afterschool, summer and in-school settings in both face-to-face and virtual learning environments.

“The Charity for Change program is both relevant and necessary given the times we live in. Today’s children and families face ever-challenging traumas. In our quest to educate the whole child, mind, body and spirit, we’ve found an engaging and ready-made curriculum that does it all!”
–Dr. Dayana Philippi, Former BridgePrep Academy Principal
How it Works

The Charity for Change curriculum is designed to be inclusive, relevant and accessible for all children, particularly those most systemically marginalized. The content is affirming, encouraging and designed to build self-esteem and self-efficacy.
Four teaching modalities to ensure comprehension: Visual, Auditory, Reading/Writing and Kinesthetic and includes:
PROJECT-BASED LEARNING activities implementing civic learning and service learning
MINDFULNESS EXERCISES to prepare students for learning
PEER-TO-PEER reflection that builds compassion and empathy
MATH word problems integrating character education and service learning
KINESTHETIC activities teaching learners how to accommodate one another’s differences
PUZZLES AND READER’S THEATER puppet shows developing a deeper understanding of the character traits
FAMILY games and exercises to connect family members and students with real-world experiences and inspire deeper-level conversations about the character traits

How We Meet Life Skill Competencies
Students will gain self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making as evidenced by our pre- and post-program tests, surveys, platform analytics and program observation.

“Watching the kids learn about giving back to the community they live in, being able to do it in a fun, engaging way, where they are also improving their academics, is a beautiful thing to watch.”
